Andrea Murray-Slinn
Born in the Canadian Prairies, Andrea Murray-Slinn was raised with her younger sister, by her Dutch mother and Irish father. After finishing high school in Winnipeg, Andrea moved to Asia at 18 years old, to model in Bangkok, Taipei and Hong Kong. Her work eventually brought her to Europe, where she joined the Formula One circus and travelled all over the globe. After a number of years in London and Monaco, Murray-Slinn moved to New York City, to study photography at Parsons School of Design. After receiving her degree, Andrea went on to work at Harper’s Bazaar magazine, first as an intern in the art department and then later hired as an associate bookings editor. She also worked as an event photographer for famed society photographer Patrick McMullan during her time in the NYC. Andrea moved to Sydney, Australia for six months work and then went to Toronto. During her time in Canada, Andrea produced and shot two photo exhibitions for the luxury department store Holt Renfrew, which were sponsored by Hugo Boss. Travelling to Montreal, New York, Los Angeles, London and France to photograph sports stars, musicians and actors for portraits that were auctioned for charity.
After a year in Toronto, Murray-Slinn moved back London, where she started photographing for Conde Nast Traveller covering cities such as Miami, Palm Beach and New York. Andrea also worked for a number of years as a photo editor, at REUTERS news agency headquarters and then later at the Associated Press.
Andrea Murray-Slinn's photography work has been published in Conde Nast Traveller, Vanity Fair, Elle Canada, Flare, DNR, B Magazine Australia, Golf Monthly among others. Her client list includes Hugo Boss, Holt Renfrew, Alfred Dunhill, Richemont, Debonnaire, David Linley, Diesel, Purple PR. She has covered events such as the Sundance Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival, Australian Fashion Week, Tree Lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in St Andrews, Scotland.
